To transform the lives of vulnerable women, youths and children through our several empowerment programs bringing them from a state of poverty to self dependence and Development.
Our goal is to see a life changed of a vulnerable woman to self dependence and DEVELOPMENT UWOPED was founded back in 2010 starting with 6 women empowering them mostly in skilling under a tree in Kampala District and how it works with over 1000 women in wakiso and Kampala District.Our programs are as follows -Fashion and design Art and crafts Computer trainin-Agriculture and farming Home based care Savings and microfinance Building and construction Trainings and workshops Counselling and guidance
-Teaching maths,accounting, English Administration and management

-we have a youth skilling centre(vocational school A strong agricultural project
-Most of our beneficiaries are now self employed
We have a clothing workshop where women sew clothes for sales We have an arts Gallery
-We have a strong savings cycle for women
-We have a children sponsorship program
-We have a Todders community learning program home to home for those who don't go to school
-We have an adult learning school for illiterate mothers to learn how to read and write
-We have a community library for school going children.
