To cultivate an informed and involved young professional community in Reno-Tahoe in order to attract and retain young and diverse talent.

Description

In January 2006 the director's annual conference our community was challenged to empower young professionals to get involved in maintaining the regions economic vitality. In 2006 several focus groups were convened asking for young professionals what they were looking for in an organization geared towards them out of those focus groups the first meeting of the Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network was held with more than 40 people attending. In February 2007, the group celebrated its official launch with more than 700 regional business leaders.
