Peer Support Group Facilitator

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

We are seeking multiple peer support group facilitators who will facilitate virtual support group meetings for those dealing with mental illness and suicidality. Previous experience as a support group facilitator or mental health experience preferred. The organization has the flexibility to schedule the support groups around the facilitators' schedules. There will a small about of monthly community outreach, which can be conducted remotely to spread the word about the support groups to other organizations and to recruit participants.

Volunteer Coordinator/Community Outreach Person

We are seeking a volunteer coordinator/community outreach person who will be in charge of our volunteers and complete tasks that help us engage with the community for fundraising, networking, and donation purposes. This person will be in charge of our social media accounts n Facebook and Instagram. Also, this person will conduct calls/emails to other community organizations to get the word out about us and let them know who we are. The chosen volunteer will need to be available 10 to 15 hours a week. Also, the selected volunteer will need to be available during the daytime hours as you will be calling local community partners. The objective to for the grant writer to research, assess, and apply for grants and other funding on behalf of the organization. Videographer

We are seeking a videographer to help us create a mental health documentary geared toward minorities. We are currently in the development stages and would need someone willing to commit to the long haul. This person will have a voice and say so in the project decision-making and final outcome. Our ultimate goal is to sell the documentary to a big company such as Netflix so the world can see it. The person will need to have their own camera and recording equipment. Saving A Life is a 501c(3) nonprofit that was started in 2021. The goal of our organization is to increase access to resources and support for individuals dealing with mental illness and suicidality and their families. We strive to serve anyone from any background, creed, nationality, age, or other demographic. Through our organization, we offer virtual support groups, healing spaces, and a resource list, and we are in the process of creating a resilience program for all ages. Ultimately, we seek to further destigmatize mental illness in all communities and eradicate suicide in the process
