ABOUT APVA The Association of African Podcasters and Voice artists is a community that seeks to amplify, appreciate and award African voice/audio talents. There are currently two definitions of APVA. There is APVA as a new community. There are awards for African podcasts and voices (APVA). Regardless of definition, our primary goals remain to discover, amplify, and celebrate the African Voice. OUR OBJECTIVES Discover Africa’s Unique voices by finding Africans worth spotlighting for the world to appreciate Amplify Africa’s unique voices via events, spotlights etc. Appreciate the excellent works of african audio creatives via the African Podcast and Voice Awards Strengthen the African audio industry by providing home-grown resources that cater to the needs of audio creatives Transform audio skills into viable businesses via the APVA Academy Lead conversations with international organizations (prospect partners) and mediate to provide tools and facilities that can be easily accessed by African talents. Partner and support communities and organizations looking to support the African audio industry. We are searching for a talented and motivated event coordinator to organize outstanding and unforgettable events. You will be responsible for every part of event preparations, mostly virtual such as choosing dates, prospecting suitable guests and assigning hosts. As the event coordinator, you should be well-organized and possess a sound knowledge of vendor management. Excellent communication and attention to detail skills are vital in this role. Responsibilities: Identify the team and guest requirements and expectations for each event. Liaise with partners, guests and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order. Manage all event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes. Maintain event budgets. Book venues, handle media relations, and schedule speakers. Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the standards. Assess an event’s overall success and submit findings. Requirements: At least 1 years’ experience as an event coordinator. Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities. Outstanding event management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Partner with and support communities and organizations looking to support the African audio industry. Are you a whiz at finding the most interesting, informative, and engaging content on the web? Do you have a knack for curating relevant content to your audience? If so, we want you to join our team as our content curator. As our content curator, you will be responsible for finding, curating, and publishing content on our website and social media channels. You will work closely with our editorial team to ensure that all content is high-quality and aligns with our brand voice. If you are a creative thinker with a passion for content, we want you on our team. Duties & Responsibilities Find, select, and share the most relevant and engaging content for our audience across all social media platforms Monitor trends and conversations in order to identify new content opportunities Stay up-to-date on best practices and make recommendations for content strategy collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive content strategy Develop and maintain relationships with industry thought leaders and influencers Edit and optimize content for search engine optimization repurpose existing content into new formats as needed Perform quality assurance checks on all content before publication Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or related field At least 1 year professional writing and editing experience Exceptional research skills and attention to detail Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Proficiency in Project management tools like ASANA Preferred Skills and Qualifications Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc. Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design Experience with search engine optimization (SEO)

Job Description: Graphics Designer Reports to : Founder Experience with basic editing and graphic design is required. This is a learning volunteership. The Graphic Design Volunteer will design content for marketing, branding, and social media campaigns. Will conceptualize, design, and create mock-ups from small enhancements to entirely new designs. Projects will range from designing social media graphics to digital magazines and resource articles for downloads by members of the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Design clear, engaging graphic communications for print and the web. This may include logos, direct mail pieces, branded promotional items, website and social media graphics, posters, flyers, and other marketing materials as needed. Work closely with the executive staff to translate messaging concepts into marketing materials. Must have the ability to work independently and in partnership with a team. Must possess the ability to define and work on deadlines. Applicants will also need to be self-directed and willing to take initiative as well as detail-oriented and possess an enthusiasm for the mission of the organization Time Commitment : Time dedication is a minimum of five hours per week.

Web Content Administrator We need a web content administrator who can ensure our website is up-to-date, accurate, and engaging. The ideal candidate will have experience managing website content, as well as a keen eye for detail. He or she will be responsible for publishing content on our website, as well as ensuring all content is aligned with our brand voice and style guide. In addition, the web content administrator will be responsible for conducting regular audits of the website to identify any errors or outdated information. Maintain and update website sector-related and curated content Work with web designers and developers to create an optimal user experience Understand and apply basic SEO principles to web content Adhere to style guides and branding standards when creating or editing web content Manage website content using a Content Management System (CMS), ours being wordpress Upload new content and make updates to existing content as needed Monitor website analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement Perform audits of website content to ensure accuracy and completeness Required Skills and Qualifications Exceptional writing, research, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines Proficiency in Google docs and Microsoft Office Proficiency in project management tools like Asana or Trello Familiarity with standard style guides (AP, MLA, Chicago Manual of Style, etc.) Preferred Skills and Qualifications Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc. Proofreading experience and familiarity with copyediting symbols and marks A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design

TELEGRAM/WHATSAPP/FACEBOOK GROUP MODERATOR We are in need of a telegram/whatsapp/facebook admin and community manager who is capable of helping our telegram community as Admin/moderator and provide real-time active response/engagement He/She will help users get conversant within APVA by attending to all their questions, ban fud/spam in real time and provide real and well-structured conversation starters and responses to their never-ending queries. ROLE AND DUTIES - Telegram chat and channel moderation, respond to requests and comments in a timely manner - Native or Fluent English - Start a conversation and get members engaged - Learn the details of the project and ensure that those details are properly communicated to the community rather than just doing basic short answer questions. - Learn quickly about different initiatives and be able to answer questions from the community about ongoing initiatives. -Respond to users’ questions and comments. - You should be able to independently formulate arguments in response to queries of our social media audience
