Introduction The Association of African Podcasters and Voice artists is a community-driven organization that seeks to discover, amplify, and award African voice/audio creatives. There are currently two definitions of APVA, There is APVA as a new community, i.e., The Association of African Podcasters and Voice Artists. Also, APVA means the African Podcasts and Voice Awards (APVA). Regardless of definition, our primary goals remain to discover, amplify, and celebrate the African Voice. Our Objectives Discover Africa’s Unique voices that are telling and retelling the African narrative. Amplify the excellent works of African audio creatives via the African Podcast and Voice Awards and other industry-specific events Strengthen the African audio industry by providing home-grown resources that cater to the needs of audio creatives Transform audio skills into viable businesses via the APVA Academy Lead conversations with international organizations (prospect partners) and mediate to provide tools and facilities that can be easily accessed by African audio creatives. Partner with and support communities and organizations looking to support the African audio industry. We are seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Content Contributor. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing and creating original content for our website, blog, and social media channels. You will collaborate with our team of designers, developers, and marketers to create content that is both on-brand and aligned with our business goals. The ideal candidate for this role is a creative thinker with excellent writing and research skills. The ideal candidate is passionate about, or at least has a keen interest for, podcasting voice-overs and/or any audio-related activity. He or she must be able to work independently and be able to meet deadlines. He/She is willing to share valuable resources with the community to help budding African talents. Duties & Responsibilities: Creation of articles, newsletters, and other materials that align with our organization's mission and values. Find, select, and share the most relevant and engaging content for our audience across all social media platforms. Monitor trends and conversations in order to identify new content opportunities Stay up-to-date on best practices and make recommendations for content strategy Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive content strategy Develop and maintain relationships with industry thought leaders and influencers Edit and optimize content for search engine optimization Repurpose existing content into new formats as needed Perform quality assurance checks on all content before publication Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to maintain consistency in messaging and branding. Conduct research on industry trends and relevant topics to incorporate into content. Required Skills and Qualifications: At least 1 year professional writing and editing experience Exceptional research skills and attention to detail Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency in Project management tools like ASANA Familiarity with social media platforms. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc. Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design Experience with search engine optimization (SEO) Creativity and innovation in content development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about visual storytelling, possess a keen eye for detail, and have a deep understanding of video production techniques. As a Creative Video Creator, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, scripting, shooting, and editing engaging video content that aligns with our brand and resonates with our target audience. Duties & Responsibilities: Conceptualize, script, film, and edit engaging and impactful videos that align with the organization's mission. Collaborate with the team to create video content for website, social media, and promotional materials. Stay updated on video production trends, techniques, and tools. Ensure visual and narrative consistency with the organization's brand guidelines. Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative discussions with the team. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro). Creative storytelling and visual communication skills. Experience with filming and using video equipment. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a collaborative environment. Passion for the organization's mission and values. Strong attention to detail. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: 1 to 2 years experience in video production or content creation. Familiarity with motion graphics and animation. Knowledge of best practices for video optimization on different platforms. Graphic design skills for creating thumbnails and promotional materials.

We are searching for a talented and motivated event coordinator to organize outstanding and unforgettable events. You will be responsible for every part of event preparations, mostly virtual such as choosing dates, prospecting suitable guests and assigning hosts. As the event coordinator, you should be well-organized and possess a sound knowledge of vendor management. Excellent communication and attention to detail skills are vital in this role. Responsibilities: Identify the team and guest requirements and expectations for each event. Liaise with partners, guests and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order. Manage all event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes. Maintain event budgets. Book venues, handle media relations, and schedule speakers. Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the standards. Assess an event’s overall success and submit findings. Requirements: At least 1 years’ experience as an event coordinator. Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities. Outstanding event management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
