Mission Statement

Hello & welcome to the 1st Annual BRIDGING AFRICAN AMERICANS AND THE AFRICAN DIASPORA UNITY FESTIVAL (the BAAADU FESTIVAL, also known as BAAADU Festival Inc.). We are honored to share our mission and story with you as a part of this worthy endeavor to bridge countries as well as cultures within the African heritage. This year’s event will capture the spirit of coming together to celebrate diversity as well as pay homage to the motherland. In addition to our mission for unity, BAAADU recognizes the incredible struggle underprivileged and marginalized mothers and young children suffer through. BAAADU is owned by three women who also happen to be mothers and it is our personal responsibility to make sure we support organizations around the world and provide donations to empower young mothers and support them so they can have thriving futures for their families.

Description

On October 29, 2022 at the Edward Vincent Jr. Park in Inglewood, CA we are hosting The BAAADU FESTIVAL an annual, extravaganza celebrating and highlighting the different and creative identities of people across the United States of America and Africa and the Diaspora through the lens of arts, culture, and heritage. This festival commemorates the historical roots and rich diversity of African Americans and Africans throughout the Diaspora by showcasing the enormous variety of cultural experiences from music, performing arts, health, education, entertainment, politics, environment, community engagement, economic empowerment, networking commerce opportunities and nutrition as well as providing a vibrant marketplace rich in goods and commodities from around the world.
