Mission Statement

The mission of Reinbow Riding Center is to improve the well being of individuals with unique physical, emotional and cognitive challenges through a therapeutic equine experience.

Description

Therapeutic riding provides a wonderful growth experience for children and adults with exceptional needs, including physical, emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral and educational. Through a variety of activities on and off the horse, participants develop an improved sense of accomplishment, increased self-confidence, as well as a stronger sense of determination and physical strength.

At Reinbow Riding Center we tailor our programs to each individual. Caring for the well being of the horse and learning to trust it provides the foundation for essential dispositions and behaviors that transfer to everyday relationships in our communities.

We currently provide programs to adults with various challenges by partnering with local mental health agencies and private referrals. We also work with many school systems in our surrounding area to provide during and after school programming. We offer needs blind pricing to those who are unable to pay for our services, and utilize grant funding for the school programming. We also offer special programs for military members and their families, as we recognize the additional support our service members and their loved ones need.

Each rider starts out with at least three volunteers, and we provide training for all. No horse experience is necessary!
