HELP FROM HATTIE is a 501c3 nonprofit, we served 10 counties in Georgia through our 3 programs and their benefits. The mission of HELP FROM HATTIE is to achieve health and financial equity for populations that are underserved, underinsured, and otherwise vulnerable. Through our Access to Better Health program, we conduct health assessments and support for individuals with chronic illnesses, provide healthcare connects, and nutritious food. This is not a direct care volunteer opportunity. Volunteer nurses will be providing essential patient education and proficient health coaching to participants in the community on a weekly basis in a remote work setting. A valid nursing license and state ID are required. Counties currently served: Clayton, Henry, Athens-Clarke, Fayette, Spalding, Coweta, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Rockdale *** THIS OPPORTUNITY IS REMOTE YOU WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO TRAVEL TO PARTICIPANTS. *** YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE IN ONLINE TRAINING AND SIGN NECESSARY CONSENTS TO KEEP IN LINE WITH PRIVACY GUIDELINES.

We are seeking volunteers to help at our upcoming July 12th and 19th, August 2nd Health and Wellness events. We partner with other organizations to access education regarding nutrition and chronic illness risks, and prevention. Volunteers would help with the set and breakdown of our vendor space, assist with crowd control and help complete surveys regarding individual needs. Some assistance with food distribution may be needed as well. If you are passionate about health and wellness we could use your help.

Create visually appealing and professional designs for the PR kit, considering branding guidelines and the overall aesthetic. Collaborate with our team to ensure consistency and accuracy in messaging and design elements. Minimal Requirements: Background in public relations, communications, or related fields. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in crafting PR materials, such as press releases, fact sheets, and media pitches. Proficiency in graphic design tools to create visually appealing content is preferred. Ability to work independently while adhering to project deadlines. HELP FROM HATTIE is seeking a Yoga and Meditation leader for our virtual helath groups twice weekly. While teaching meditation you will be asked to: Instruct participants on how to meditate, including demonstrating proper posture, breathing techniques, etc. During guided meditation: You would be guiding participants though a meditation experience to facilitate insight, healing, healthy self-reflection or constructive imagination. We encourage any skills and practices that you have to support our DE&I culture while virtually assisting participants to practice self care routines.

We are seeking new board members to join our organization. Our mission is to address and impact health and nutrition disparities in GA. Please visit our website for more information on our mission and impact helpfromhattie.org. At Help From Hattie, board members have the following responsibilities. 1. Make a personal contribution. As a board member, you are expected and encouraged to make a financial contribution of meaningful size at the beginning of every year. The alternative is to support one of our programs through sponsorship. All contributions are tax-deductible. 2. Share networks and open doors. Each board member must be willing to share their network, to help the organization access new resources through partnership. On average making one new introduction per month and or securing at least $1000.00 per month for programs. All contributions are tax-deductible. 3. Be an effective advocate. Help From Hattie is a community resource that participates in advocacy to sustain equity. Each board member should be an advocate for the underserved and for the organization. They should be prepared to talk about Help From Hattie with anyone who is interested. Board members should be able to invite interested people for a tour, to an event, or even to go out for coffee with the executive director. Board members are responsible for one relationship-building activity per month. 4. Invite others to contribute. As a Board member, you are required to ask others to make a contribution through an appeal letter, to the annual fund, or to a specific event or program. Board members help make a minimum of ten "asks" per year by signing annual fund letters to your friends, bringing people to our special events, and making face-to-face solicitations. 5. Actively participate in monthly meetings. As a board member, you are expected to attend meetings, and contribute to the discussion. Lend your expertise. While specific experience is not required we appreciate secular talents such as grant writing business marketing accounting, HR professionals, and medical personnel.
