ARM IN ARM OUTREACH

Description

Refugees flee their communities and countries for a variety of reasons including war, religious persecution, domestic violence, and severe violations of Human Rights. Although they may escape the dire circumstances originally forcing them to abandon their homes, these families often find themselves living for years in equally challenging circumstances in a temporary foreign country where they have no money for shelter, food or clothing. Countries where they are not entitled as refugees to find employment or receive community services. Arm in Arm Outreach's goal is to ensure our partner families receive at minimum their basic monthly food essentials as well as needed shelter and clothing assistance. AIA recognizes the importance of providing emotional support and mentoring and welcomes the opportunity to work with volunteers interested in providing virtual tutoring, English language practice, or messages of encouragement and friendship.
