A safe place for young women age 13-17 to thrive by assisting them in furthering their education, helping with career goals or employment opportunities, and setting them up for the first time home buyers program to obtain a mortgage. SUS is a safe haven where young teen girls who may be foster kids, victims of sexual assault or domestic violence can come together with our leader women who may have been in there shoes to connect on a deeper level therefore gaining another sense of healing.
Our goal is to one day have a housing program so we can work with our young sisters who may be homeless or in foster care on a deeper level ensuring a healthy, whole, and confident woman who now have the tools to apply to their young adult life. I would also like to expand services to our older sisters within the community of things that they may need (long-term goal). I would like to implement a "Real Tea w/Dee" Program which is a true open door policy for the young girls to talk about anything they would like without judgement and from those conversations we learn new things about ourselves and each other which allows for a therapeutic healing process. (Short-term goal)
