Mission Statement
The purpose of the SC Progressive Network Education Fund is to promote -- through education and action -- human, civil, and workers’ rights, reproductive freedom, environmental protection, and government reform.
Description
The SC Progressive Network Education Fund is a 26-year old organization whose roots go back even further having developed out of coalitions built by its predecessor, the Grass Roots Organizing Workshop (GROW). The Network has served on the vanguard of the fights for environmental justice, racial justice, gender justice, LGBTQ+ rights, workers rights and voting rights. Currently, the Network's focuses span voter registration, education, and mobilization (Missing Voter Project), poll monitoring and voting rights advocacy (Election Protection Coalition), gerrymandering reform (Fair Maps SC) and teaching the history and tactics of South Carolina activism (Modjeska Simkins School).
