Hello Future Volunteers!! Avatar Healthcare Texas Best Hospice is a Hospice and Home health service designated to patients who have been terminally diagnosed with an illness and given limits on their fading lights. One of the benefits that come with our organization is that we are able to ensure their comfortability during this period of time. Volunteers are a very essential part of our program, we are currently excepting administrative volunteers and direct patient contact. For those who are very much interested in getting the administrative experience, and patient experience. Various duties for Administrative Volunteers consists of: Data entry, receptionist, filing, reorganizing binders, making flyers, making phone calls to patients, etc.. Duties for Direct Patient Contact consists of: Relieving of the caretaker (letting them go run their errands while your with patient.) mowing lawn, gardening, looking at photo albums, reading, etc.... If you see yourself wanting to give your time to enlighten someone else's fading light this is a place to definitely make a change, make huge difference in someone's last moments. If you're looking for further your knowledge and experience in the health field this is definitely a stepping stone as we are a company that hires within and being a volunteers of hours will most likely put you in that lime light! We look forward in seeing As many volunteers as we can!
