Mission Statement

CCCH/ Light Hill is a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. A compassionate comfort care home supporting the terminally ill. Our caring home affirms life, hope and meaning for all who enter: our guests approaching the final stages of life, their families, visitors, staff and volunteers.

Light Hill opened in July 2016 atop a hill, full of natural light, hope and positive energy, our chosen name, LIGHT HILL was most fitting for the mission it was meant to serve. Our Goal is to affirm and support life, hope and meaning for all who enter. We believe it's where families and friends can find light through the trees and hope through the shadows. Our volunteers are the heart of our home, and our greatest need. These remarkable individuals joined our family from different places, various backgrounds and experiences and individual reasons. Together, we have grown into a supportive team, committed corps of volunteers, who carry out day-to-day operations and give hands-on care. They bless this home with caring hearts, compassion and a hospice philosophy to serve our terminal residents, their loved ones and all those who enter our home. Our primary focus is to ensure the richest possible experience for residents and their loved ones as they approach the final stages of life by providing the comfort care that focuses on pain control, symptom management and safety. We also seek to support our resident guests and their families as they adjust to the emotional and spiritual challenges they may experience.Volunteer on-site training is provided, and no medical background is necessary. You won't regret joining our wonderful extended family. To Learn more call or email MK@lighthillhome.org.

I recently started volunteering at Light Hill and it has been an amazing experience so far. From all of the lovely volunteers, to the beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. I have enjoyed taking care of the residents and providing the comfort and loving presence they are there for. Light Hill is such a warming home, that offers so much to individuals and families that stay there. I feel so blessed to be on this journey with everyone at Light Hill.

This is a wonderful home and an even better place to volunteer. The volunteers all work together and are kind and respectful of everyone.

I started volunteering with the very first resident LH received and it’s been a wonderful journey! I feel the ethos of LH is more about LIFE than death. All the training I received and the care I give out is about making ones last days, weeks or months of life as best as they can be. What LH does matters! Kindness is a language everyone understands.

Ever since Light Hill welcomed our first resident, we have been privileged to work as hands-on care volunteers. It truly is a sacred home for families to gather as their loved one experiences the end stages of life. As humble servants, we offer our understanding, compassion, and love to all who enter our doors. We feel richly blessed to be part of the Light Hill Family.

I have had the unique opportunity to both volunteer at CCCH/Light Hill and also be a family member of a resident. The joy and peacefulness I feel when I walk through the doors of Light Hill is beyond compare. Not only do I feel love when I volunteer, but I then felt it come back to me tenfold when our family member was a resident here. The home itself is in a beautiful setting and the staff and volunteers there are so loving, so giving, so compassionate. It is where I would want to be in the sunset of my days.

Light Hill volunteering fills my heart with joy. We not only nurture the resident but also the family! What a beautiful serene setting! I consider it a privilege to care for people in the sunset of their lives.

Volunteers have a wonderful, warm home in which to work, and incredible support for the work we do.
