FlairCare is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating positive healing environments to support pediatric patients through creative art as a therapeutic and healing tool.
FlairCare strives to help sick children from a unique but effective standpoint. At the intersectionality of medicine and art, therapeutic art holds the power to enhance patients' physical, mental, and spiritual health. In fact, several research studies have shown that art can help to prevent or slow many medical conditions such as autism, depression, and cancers. In addition, artistic expression can help patients navigate their emotions and serve as a healing therapy, offering a window of discussion and engagement outside of boring or painful hospital care.
At FlairCare, we have many goals. In the short term, we aim to reach local communities through hosting more art workshops, creating children's illustrated books about diseases, and donating to children's hospitals. For the long term, we plan to reach patients on a statewide and then national level.
