Turtle Island Indigenous People of the Northeast Cultural Foundation Mission Statement Mission Statement : Our mission is to nurture and facilitate improved relations and wellbeing of ALL urban Indigenous nations and populations of the Americas and the Caribbean in ways that can be documented, evaluated and shared with others. Spread Unity, Support, Share cultural values and traditions to improve cultural identity, pride and self-esteem. We will deal with issues on food sovereignty, land acquisitions, sacred sites, cultural and tradition preservation. Address MMIW, Every Child Matters, family structures, health and all issues that indigenous groups are facing in this COLONIZED world. Vision Statement : Help Indigenous community members and friends live healthy, thriving lives, share a strong, positive level of cultural diversity, identity, pride, unity, self-esteem and respect for self and others.
Description
Advocate for all Social and Cultural challenges for Indigenous People, mainly in the Northeastern US, but will help anywhere Indigenous People need assistance.
Have a passion for MMIW, EVERY CHILD MATTERS, FOOD SOVEREIGNTY, HOMELESSNESS, ELDER/ VETERAN CARE, CULTURAL IDENTITY AND SELF ESTEEM.
