Child Care Assistants play a crucial role in providing safe and supportive care for the children of participants while they engage in activities to promote healing and growth. Will need to review, agree to, and sign the Child Care Volunteer Agreement Willingness to undergo background check. Supervising and caring for children in a safe and nurturing environment. Engaging children in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development. Collaborating with program organizers and parents to ensure coordinated care and support. Compassion and a genuine interest in caring for children. Patience, attentiveness, and the ability to create a positive and supportive atmosphere for children. Plan and coordinate fundraising events, including annual fundraising initiatives and community outreach initiatives. Cultivate relationships with donors and supporters, providing personalized communication and stewardship to strengthen donor loyalty and retention. Research and identify potential funding opportunities, including, sponsorships, and partnerships aligned with the mission of Royal Roots of Freedom. Program Assistants/Mentors are essential in preparing the building for use, assisting participants throughout their program activities, and upholding a welcoming environment conducive to healing. Unlike Primary Mentors, who work closely with assigned participants to establish and achieve specific goals, Program Mentors provide support as needed, serving as a sounding board or a safe space for participants who require immediate emotional support or simply need to vent. Review, agree with, and sign the Volunteer Agreement Training will be provided through shadowing with a seasoned volunteer during current open times. Once comfortable with duties, discuss a flexible schedule that accommodates both your availability and expands our facility’s open times. Assisting with light cleaning tasks such as trash removal, vacuuming, furniture arrangement, and dusting. Organizing supplies and making copies as needed to support program activities. Attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures for building opening and closing. Good communication skills to interact effectively with participants and other volunteers. Willingness to learn and assist with organizational tasks to support program operations.
