The role includes cultivating and maintaining relationships with new and existing funders to improve the quality of application submissions. Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for supporting the recruitment of and leading the fund development team. Research and develop funding proposals for charitable foundations, community foundations, corporate charitable funds, government funding, and other similar funds. Research and identification of potential donors and developing the case for giving. Responsible for the developing post-mortems for funding applications to gain insights on how to strengthen our applications. Remain current on all legislation and ethical practices pertaining to fundraising. Responsible for updating the fundraising database, reporting income to the Treasurer, and ensuring timely distribution of donation receipts. Compile, maintain and report on fundraising statistics. Analyze trends in fundraising, identifying opportunities and challenges and developing strategies to ensure goals are met. Qualifications Graduated or enrolled in a University degree or community college diploma program. Effective oral and written communication skills. Has experience with developing and executing fundraising strategies. Knowledgeable about writing effective funding applications. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to supervise and motivate volunteers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Position Summary Imagine Cities is seeking a passionate and experienced Volunteer PR Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned PR professional with a strong network and a desire to make a difference in the urban innovation and community development sectors. The Volunteer PR Manager will be instrumental in raising awareness of Imagine Cities, its mission, and its impact on communities across the globe. Responsibilities Develop and implement a strategic PR plan to enhance visibility and promote the mission and projects of Imagine Cities. Leverage existing PR connections and media relationships to secure coverage and exposure for Imagine Cities in relevant publications, websites, and other media outlets. Coordinate with the marketing and communications team to ensure alignment with overall brand strategy and messaging. Manage press inquiries, interview requests, and public appearances or statements from Imagine Cities representatives. Craft compelling press releases, media advisories, and PR content that resonate with our target audiences and stakeholders. Monitor and report on PR campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize reach and impact. Organize and manage PR events, such as press conferences or community engagement activities, to further promote Imagine Cities' initiatives. Provide guidance and support to team members on best practices in PR and media relations. Qualifications Proven experience in public relations, media relations, or a similar role, preferably in the nonprofit sector or related fields. Strong network of media and PR contacts that can be leveraged to benefit Imagine Cities' visibility and outreach efforts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and persuasive messages. Creative thinker with a strategic mindset, able to develop and implement effective PR campaigns. Passionate about urban innovation, community development, and the mission of Imagine Cities. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, with excellent organizational and time-management skills. Position Summary As part of our Learning Guides Program, we develop guides for neighbourhood organizations. From our Research Program, we find a variety of skills and tools being used by neighbourhood leaders from around the world. We turn these skills and tools into learning guides, similar to Coursera, to make them more accessible. As our Learning & Development Manager, you will lead a team of specialists as part of our Learning Guides team to design, develop and maintain our learning guides based on instructional design and best practices to engage and motivate learners. You should be familiar or interested in developing a curriculum for e-learning through a MOOC platform. Duties & Responsibilities As our Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for: Leading a team of Learning & Development Specialists to support the stages of the learning lifecycle including developing strategy, curriculum design, content development, delivery support, measurement and maintenance. Maintaining and improving our currently available learning guides in both analog and digital formats. Lead the creation of new learning guides in both analog and digital formats. Conducting research to find high quality content related to specific topics to add to each learning guide. Implementing the use of current techniques and processes used in the design and development of each learning guide. Using creative, critical and analytical approaches to the development of learning guides.
