Mission Statement
The Foundation for Online Computer Security and Crime (FOCSC) is a not-for-profit corporation based in Canada with a mission to help victims of online crime and promote online security to prevent computer crime. We are dedicated to promoting online security and preventing computer crime by providing information and resources to help victims understand and deal with the consequences of online crime. We may also work with law enforcement and other organizations to help make the internet a safer place. Our objectives include promoting online security and awareness, developing online security educational programs, conducting research and development into online security technologies, and promoting international cooperation on online security and crime issues. We may also provide financial, legal, and technical assistance to victims of online computer security and crime.
Description
The Foundation for Online Computer Security and Crime is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping make the internet a safer place. We accomplish this by providing resources and education to internet users of all ages about online safety and security. In addition to our online safety initiatives, FOCSC also works to help victims of online crime. We provide support and resources to those who have been the victims of online scams, cyberbullying, and other forms of online harassment. We also may work with law enforcement to help investigate and prosecute those responsible for these crimes.
