Mission Statement

Junior Achievement (JA) is dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed, through programs which focus on financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship. We provide essential business and life skills which empower students to build their own successful futures and help to close the opportunity gap.

Description

As a solution provider Junior Achievement (JA) of Greater Fairfield County partners with community members and local businesses to deliver relevant and innovative learning experiences to local youth in grades K-12 taught by volunteer role models, like you! JA bridges the gap between what students learn in the classroom and the real world. Volunteer opportunities (both virtual and in person) range from one morning, a full day or once per week for 5 weeks: you are paired up with a teacher and trained by a member of JA staff in advance. You can also be a guest speaker as a subject-matter expert to Inspire students to start thinking about their own career path.
