Mission Statement

Privilege Non-Profit seeks to contribute to strong communities and individual happiness by providing services to people who are currently unhoused or at risk, and to help set them up for long-term success. We provide support and advocacy for people in crisis in Alameda, San Mateo, Contra Costa, and Tri-Valley counties. We define success as helping clients to become and stay housed and to be empowered as possible their own life, and measure success through client surveys and feedback from other organizations. We work to support people by providing essentials such as food and clothing, assistance getting housed, support in connecting to additional resources, career support, and education in life skills. Since confidence and self-esteem are essential to life success, our goal is to provide a sense of privilege to people who might feel otherwise marginalized. We connect to clients through outreach in homeless encampments, flyers, and word of mouth.
