Description

Objectives:

  • Provide support and funding for community projects based on Mangrove Society workshops, with a focus on youth led initiatives.
  • Offer workshops, training, and educational programs in sustainable practices: Sustainable Business Practices, Harnessing Local Resources in an Environmentally Conscious Way, Alternative Energy, Sustainable Farming Methods, Waste Management, 3 R’s, Water Systems, Green building, Grant Development and Management, Youth Leadership Initiatives, and Community Empowerment
  • Provide support and funding for community projects based on Mangrove Society workshops, with a focus on youth led initiatives.
  • Connect people, communities, and organizations to share best practices to fit their local needs.
  • Offer children and youth enrichment programming to increase active involvement and engagement in the development of the community. Enrichment programs designed to fit the community needs (examples: STEM, languages, design, coding, the arts, physical development, activism, and academic support)
  • Offer placed-based learning opportunities and host short and long-term intercultural exchanges for youth, young adults, and volunteers centered around Mangrove Society’s educational and enrichment programming.
