DC Series 2022 is a non-profit whose mission is to host, organize and support LGBTQ+ athletes in organized amateur athletics. We aim to achieve our mission by working hard to emphasize the following core values: • Mutual respect, and a commitment to excellence, sportsmanship, observance of the rules of fair play, respect of others, integrity, and graciousness in winning and losing. • By providing a safe environment for the LGBTQ+ community and friends of the LGBTQ+ community to participate in sports. • By helping our sponsors build their brands and grow their business. • By treating our respective constituencies with respect, appreciation, and as we ourselves would want to be treated and viewed. • By fostering support networks for athletes and athletic organizations; promoting positive role models and healthy lifestyles through athletics; and advocating inclusion, recognition, understanding, and respect among all members of the LGBTQ+ athletics community.
DC Series 2022, a 501c3 charity, plans and hosts the 2022 ASANA Softball World series in Washington, DC August 16-20, 2022. Our organization holds fundraising and social events to support the weeklong LGBTQ+ national softball tournament.
