Mission Statement
The Charlie Center is a non-profit community center serving individuals experiencing homelessness in North Austin. The Charlie Center meets physical needs through hospitality and healthcare and provides navigation services to help individuals take their next step toward permanent housing. The Charlie Center serves every person with compassion and excellence, taking a process-driven, holistic approach to help individuals navigate from homeless to housed.
Description
In addition to life-giving navigation and health services, The Charlie Center serves hundreds of hot meals weekly to homeless clients. We are in need of two types of volunteers: volunteers that can cook and deliver meals, volunteers that can serve in-person to hand out meals. We can accommodate individual volunteers, small groups and families (children ages 9 and up). One-time volunteers and ongoing volunteers are all welcome.
