Storytime Books gives children’s books (ages 0 to 5) to low-income families free of charge.
We envision making storytime possible in homes where books are not available (for whatever reason). The idea is inspired by research citing the lack of books in low-income homes; the age group (0 to 5) is inspired by First 5 California’s "Talk Read Sing" program (see Resources page). We hold donation drives to obtain books and giveaway events to distribute books in the community.
