Purpose: To assist the administrative staff with general office duties associated with special projects pertaining to the different departments such as bereavement, volunteer, nursing, etc. Work schedule will be between the office working hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. Essential Duties: Assists with volunteer mailing, including copying, folding, affixing labels, etc. Assists with departmental mailing, including copying, collating, folding, affixing labels, etc. Assist the administrative staff in other duties as required , including fundraising, etc. Assemble hospice binders. Calling patients for the Tuck In program. General office tasks assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator or Support Services Director. General Description Provides attention to detail. Provides organized skills and teamwork. Maintain confidentiality in all matters and sign a confidentiality agreement. Honor time commitments. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and health care professionals. Minimum Requirements: Complete application, background check, health screening, Tuberculosis Test and Volunteer Orientation. Able to make a minimum commitment of 2 hours per week. Maintains open communication with other team members, reporting events or changes of concern to Volunteer Coordinator or Support Services Director. Attending volunteer support meetings and education as needed. Complete mandatory training annually.

Purpose: To provide bereavement services to loved ones of patients who have passed and during the services being provided to the patient while being on with Stillwater Hospice. Essential Duties: Assist with preparing materials for program support. Coordinate and complete mailings. Provide administrative support for program-related needs. Provide support during the 13-month period following the passing of a patient through mailings, support groups and phone calls. Provide emotional support by using active listening skills, providing education regarding grief responses, provides information regarding available community resources, etc. Records accurately, timely, and objective documentation on each activity. Work alongside Bereavement Coordinator to gain an understanding on: appropriate demeanor for bereavement calls and visits, completion of assessments, etc. Time commitment of 2-3 hours a week. Complete mandatory trainings. Schedule: Volunteer Hours are completed between the timeframe Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Position Purpose: Volunteers play a vital role in helping patients, caregivers and loved ones in emotional support and well-being. Pet Therapy volunteers take their certified good-natured dogs to facilities across the greater Phoenix area such as group homes, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Key Responsibilities: Conduct each visit with professionalism and caring manner Ensure your dog is wearing its "uniform" on all visits Participate in activities Ensure visiting dog is up to date with worming, flea treatments and vaccinations Ensure visiting dog is on a lead at all times during visits Sign in and out at front desks Participate in training and development activities relevant to role Abide by Stillwater Hospice volunteer handbook Is committed, reliable and punctual Role Requirements: Minimum age requirement 18 years old Attend and all training sessions Complete relevant application forms Have national certification for visiting dog completed Provide certification, vaccination records and photo consent forms Tuberculosis test for handler Valid ID Immunization records Background check

We are seeking a volunteer to prepare patient charts for use with patients. This is for one 2-hour shift a week. Below are the five steps to volunteering. All volunteers are onboarded and trained according to industry standards. We will make sure you feel confident in your abilities and prepared to serve in your volunteer area. STEPS TO VOLUNTEERING Complete the application at this link. (It will look like you are applying for a job. You are not, but this is the most straightforward way to onboard volunteers.) After you submit it, I will send you a job offer and a consent request to do a background check. Please accept the offer and submit the background check. Once the background check clears, I will send the volunteer packet which has some key policies to acknowledge (HIPAA, etc.) Send in the following items (items in bold are required; the others can be waived): State or federal identification (Current driver's license or Passport) Chickenpox/Varicella vaccination record or titer Influenza vaccination (unless declined) Hep B (unless declined - sign declination) MMR (vaccination or titer) Tdap (vaccination/booster within 10 years) COVID-19 vaccine record (unless waived) TB test results (this can be done at our office for free if needed.) Complete in-person training and watch the online videos. (About 4 hours total.) Start volunteering!

Purpose: To serve as a friend/companion to patients, loved ones or caregivers with emotional, social, and other needs assigned. Essential Duties: Provide emotional support for the patients and their loved ones. Documentation accurately and timely. Participate in trainings. Professionalism at visitations. Provide companionship to patients. Read, board games, bookclubs, or activities with patients. Commit 1 hour per week. Maintain open communication with other team members and volunteer coordinator. Compete a TB test (Stillwater provides a free one for those who complete training and need it)
