Mission Statement
The mission of Nick’s Place is to save lives. Our structured Recovery Residence provides young men ages 20-26 with a safe, sober, affordable home and life management programs to support their recovery from the disease of addiction.
Description
Nick’s Place offers six residents, 20-26 years of age, the opportunity to interrupt the cycle of addiction for themselves and their future generations. We give our residents the opportunity to recreate and rebuild their lives and relationships with family members that were lost during active addiction. We teach them how to make good decisions, set goals, behave with integrity and build their self-confidence. In the short term, Nick’s Place allows our young residents the chance to learn the life skills to be confident in everyday living situations. Nick’s Place stresses behavioral and situational changes that must take place to deter relapse factors. We focus on establishing a routine that provides stability and predictability. We find that when residents have a routine to follow it helps reduce their stress level and allows them to focus on learning how to live free of their addiction and prevent relapse.
