Description

The Chico Animal Shelter is part of Animal Services, a section of the Chico Police Department. The shelter houses and cares for all stray dogs found within Chico city limits as well as sick or injured cats. All animals are provided necessary vet care to make them adoptable, and animals that are not adoptable but have a good quality of life are placed in fospice care with vet care. All vet care, including spay/neuter for adoption is provided through donations.
