As a volunteer you would be creating an atmosphere of hospitality and fellowship to individuals who are often overlooked.
The Rochester Community Warming Center (RCWC) provides emergency shelter for Rochester area adults, 18 and older, experiencing homelessness. Each individual served at the RCWC has a safe and warm place to sleep, access to a shower, laundry facilities, healthy snacks and beverages, fellowship, and referrals for additional help and assistance. The RCWC is a low-barrier shelter that serves its guests in a non-judgmental manner that affirms their human dignity.
Guest check in is between 8pm-10pm each evening. Admittance after check-in can be facilitated through local law enforcement.
