The Church of Salvation is looking for a social media person to help create social media posts for our homeless outreach program called For I Was. This program was designed to help homeless and low-income people. Initially, we gave 5 families $25 grocery gift cards, then it moved to 5 families getting $100 gift cards. Now we are helping the homeless to navigate to different homes, whether that be permanent homes like co-living spaces or temporary homes like shelters and safe parking. Because of the amount of work that is needed to create a successful social media channel, we are looking for someone who can volunteer their time to help create something unique and special so we can reach those who are looking to donate, those who are in need or those who need something good on their timeline. This person would be able to come up with different campaigns, execute campaigns and manage our social media presence.

Conference Planner

The Church of Salvation is looking to change San Diego. We are working on a conference for High school students and we are looking for someone to volunteer to help facilitate the work that is going to happen. With this conference, we are planning the job and educational landscape within the next 5 years. We are looking for someone who wants to create an opportunity not only for these amazing students but for themselves as well. Someone who will want to help build and design an event that students will be fighting to get into year after year.

The Church of Salvation's Mission is to get people saved the right way so we can all enter the gates of heaven to be with our Father, help to maintain in these trying times, and be light on the earth to show God's love to those who need it. Our program For I Was is to help those in need in the San Diego area.

Description

We started in July 2018 and have always been about the community. We have recently stepped out and provided a Resource Center in 3 parts of San Diego and food distribution in those locations.
