Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide intervention and prevention assistance for the recovery community, veterans, and survivors of domestic violence, for the purpose of improving the wellbeing of individuals, families, and groups of diverse cultures. We accomplish this by providing a safe facility, community resources, and social actives that promote personal growth, individual, and collective community empowerment.
Description
R Place Drop-In Resource Center is a safe place of recovery, resources, and refuge. The Drop-In-center provides everything from free meals to GED and Life Skills Training. Community Refferals, 12-Step recovery Meetings, movie night, and a safe space for those in need. Located in the heart of Slavic Village, a part of the Northeast Ohio Greater Cleveland community, R Place serves hundreds of people monthly, in their quest for recovery from alcohol and drugs, unhealthy relationships, homelessness, hunger, and the various challenges of life. R Place Drop-In Resource Center is comprised of a wide variety of people who authentically experience intentionality around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging as a member or participant in the meeting, trainings, referrals, and social activities held at this organization. R Place stands apart in its neighborhood approach to individual and community resources as well as its holistic approach to recovery, on many levels, including nutritional, emotional, educational and career support 365 days a year.
