Our mission is to provide a forever home for rescued farm and domestic animals. In addition, we work to educate the public about the many things they can do to make this a better world for animals while striving to improve our planet and the health of human kind.
Description
We are a small animal sanctuary managed by two (fun and very people-friendly) people and we need assistance with a variety of daily tasks. While you will certainly see the animals, the volunteer work does not entail hands-on care of the animals. We are looking for someone who can commit to six to eight hours a month for a period of at least a year, and we need someone who works efficiently and with minimal supervision. The tasks are varied and some require stamina and relatively heavy lifting (40-50 pounds). Tasks include but are certainly not limited to: cleaning barns/stalls, laying down stone, painting, weeding and landscaping, basic carpentry (if able), scooping manure, ensuring fencing is secure, providing water to animals.
