Description
The Diversity Center is the nickname for the Santa Cruz Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered Community Center, Inc. serving Santa Cruz County, California.
Our all volunteer organization is supported by the generosity of members of the local LGBT community and it's supporters.
Our services include: drop in space, safe space, lending library, service and business referral, housing and job referral, sponsored community groups, activities, and newsletters.
In our more than 10 years of service we have helped thousands of local residents and visitors with our services. Come and visit us at The Diversity Center.
We try to serve our community in various ways. First of all, we provide safe space. Everyone who enters is welcome, treated with respect, and assisted in the best way possible by one of our dedicated volunteer hosts. Visitors utilize our lending library of over 600 titles, watch videos, or relax and socialize with others. We also field many calls and visits from people looking for job, living, health, and professional services referrals. By having a place, all be it small, the Diversity Center provides services to our community members in the best way possible. If you are new in town, coming out, questioning or out and about and proud, the Diversity Center touches the lives of everyone in our community in some way - now more than ever.
