Mission Statement

Estancia Cerro Guido is a destination with a unique character, offering a high-quality lodging and tourism experience and personalized attention. Located between vast pampas and majestic mountains of the Chilean Patagonia in Torres del Paine. A Territory where you can breathe the typical life of a cattle ranch in Patagonia with its classic local customs and where it is possible to know the history of the territory from its past, its present and its future, whose pillars such as nature conservation, research paleontological and archaeological, the rescue of human and cultural heritage together with sustainable tourism that coexists in a harmonious way make it a unique destination in the world.

Description

Historically there has been a conflict between wildlife and cattle raising. On one hand, people who have been dedicated to sheep farming, the most important productive activity in the area for more than a century, have seen the puma and other species that prey on livestock as an enemy, suffering the constant loss of livestock. And on the other hand, the wildlife, especially the puma, has been relentlessly hunted.

We want to show that you can live in harmony by making changes, with a respectful look on both sides.

Our team of the conservation area is in charge of carrying out concrete actions that promote the conservation of wildlife, working alongside the cattle raising and tourist areas.
