Groundwork Mobile County works on local environmental initiatives such as working in community gardens, removing invasive species, litter pick-ups, assisting with the designs and utilization of Greenspace in Africatown, and hands-on improvement projects throughout Mobile. The entire program will promote environmental awareness; project, restore ecological systems and natural resources; and engage participants in advocacy and service efforts afford waterways, parks, and open spaces. Leadership and job training as well as team building are major components of the program.
Groundwork Mobile County is a locally-based 501c 3 non-profit organization working to create sustainable environmental change through community based partnership.
