Seafair's Summer Fourth Amazon Seafair Summer Fourth is the best way to experience the 4th of July in the Pacific Northwest. Voted one of the nation’s best fireworks shows by USA TODAY and Business Insider, Summer Fourth takes place in one of the best natural amphitheaters to experience the power and artistry of fireworks. Summer Fourth features a fully choreographed fireworks presentation accompanied by a musical score and a host of pre-show activities during the day. Summer Fourth offers several free and reserved seating options and multiple vantage points to enjoy the show, Lake Union for an overhead view, Gas Works Park for a hilltop view, and Lake Union Park for a darker sky view. Each location offers its own unique experience. Gas Works Park (2101 N Northlake Way, Seattle, WA 98103) - At the north end of Lake Union, Gas Works Park offers a fun-filled festival atmosphere with activities for the entire family. Gas Works Park features an elevated hilltop view of the show with a tremendous eye-level perspective. And don’t forget the food; Summer Fourth is guaranteed to have something for every palate. And if you get thirsty, there are beer gardens and hydration stations throughout the park. Parking is free, and there is also a bike corral for those who prefer an alternative mode to travel. Rideshare, carpooling, or public transportation is highly recommended. Lake Union Park (860 Terry Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109) - At the south end of Lake Union, Lake Union Park provides the coolest setting to grab a drink, get a bite to eat, and enjoy the show. Lake Union Park features a darker sky view facing north, creating a spectacular array of color booming across Lake Union. Lake Union Park offers both free and reserved seating options. Volunteers are needed to help host this traditional Seattle event at both locations. There are many roles available including venue set up, event services, event greeters, runners, and a green team/clean up. Groups welcome! An iconic Pacific Northwest tradition, Seafair Weekend Festival is the culmination of the summer-long Seafair Celebration. Known and loved as an unofficial Puget Sound holiday, this is the most anticipated event of the summer! Set on Lake Washington’s 1.5 miles of shoreline, Seafair Festival Weekend is the largest boating event, air show, and festival all rolled into one. Fans enjoy the Boeing Seafair Air Show featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, Miss HomeStreet racing at over 220 MPH in the HomeStreet Bank Cup, and the unforgettable sights, sounds, and smells of Alaska Airlines Park. Volunteers are the people behind the scenes who ensure that every attendee has a memorable and positive festival experience. A lot goes into offering a truly exceptional event, and volunteers are the people who execute much of the work. Duties vary by event but may include set up, take down, hospitality, volunteer coordination and check in, ushering, information booth, security, first aid, runners, and behind the scenes operational duties. Do you have a special skill like carpentry, plumbing, CPR, driving a forklift, or dive certificate? Are you a boat owner? We have teams that can use your talents such as the emergency management / medical team, the shore patrol, the dive team that sets up the hydroplane racecourse and the highly skilled construction team that build out the venues. Questions? Email events@seafair.org. We will assist you in finding the role / shift that works best for you. There are also many opportunities for groups and high school students. Join our extraordinary volunteer team and help build community, create memories, and provide affordable fun!
