Mission Statement
Our mission is to transform lives through the power of Jesus Christ.
Description
We are a faith-based community celebrating 150 years of existence. We are located in the Historic Westview community on the Westside of Atlanta. We have been located at our present location for 100 years. In the past, we have housed a men's shelter in our Christian Education Building and a Respite Program. Prior to covid, we had a food pantry, and community feedings on the fourth Saturday of the month, and partnered with Hoosier United Methodist Church for Smart Lunch Smart Kid where we provided over 200 meals every other week for students home during the summer vacation. Additionally, we hosted the Westview Community Organization, Rust College Alumni Organization, and Beltline meetings. During the pandemic, we provided gift cards, food boxes, and personal protection equipment (PPE) for the community.
Some of our future goals are to host home buying seminars, financial literary classes, and computer programing programs. We are seeking volunteers to help us improve our physical building, music ministry, and programs.
