***Must have base access*** Assignment Summary: The purpose of the Budget for Baby (B4B) Instructor is to present the B4B program to clients seeking financial education in preparation for the arrival of a child. All training is provided. B4B classes may be taught virtually if you are unable to come into the office for in-person instruction. Time Commitment: At the discretion of the volunteer and while considering site requirements, at least three hours of service per month is suggested, with a maximum of 16 hours per week. An initial term should be three months. Key Responsibilities * Present NMCRS B4B workshop in a variety of settings (in person, one-on-one, and/or virtual) * Monitor availability of course materials and resource table and ensure materials are current * Oversee registration process to include eligibility, proper documentation, and gift distribution Attributes * Communicate clearly * Exhibit proficient public speaking skills * Ability to navigate a variety of video conferencing tools * Adapt to the changing needs of the B4B program * Meet B4B training objectives * Present a professional, friendly, and objective appearance * Maintain a nonjudgmental demeanor, objectivity, and confidentiality * Identify with the NMCRS mission and serve as an NMCRS Ambassador Professional Development Objectives * Complete and maintain qualification(s) as assigned in the NMCRS U * Remain current on programs, policies and procedures, and attend required training Benefits * Making a positive contribution - serving Sailors, Marines, and their families * Social networking and team building * Skill development: public speaking, training/instruction * Review skills to keep resume current

All training will be provided. Time Commitment: At the discretion of the volunteer and while considering site requirements, at least three hours of service per month is suggested, with a maximum of 16 hours per week. An initial term should be three months. Key Responsibilities Serve as client’s ambassador focused on outstanding client services Greet clients courteously and ascertain eligibility to apply for assistance Assist client in determining required documents for interview Enter or update client data in CAP Manage phone calls and schedule appointments Process inquiries and direct to appropriate program leads/referrals Process Quick Assist Loans (QAL) Attributes Maintain a nonjudgmental demeanor, objectivity, and confidentiality Strong listening and communication skills Operate in a fast-paced environment and prioritize time-sensitive situations Present a professional, friendly, and objective appearance Identify with the NMCRS mission and serve as an NMCRS Ambassador Professional Development Objectives Complete and maintain qualification(s) as assigned in the NMCRS U Field director’s approval based on skill-set demonstration and completion of required observations Remain current on programs, policies and procedures, and attend required training Benefits Making a positive contribution - serving Sailors, Marines, and their families Social networking and teambuilding Skill development: customer service, administration, awareness of military pay system and base resources Review skills to keep resume current

***Must have base access*** Caseworkers assist clients by assessing needs, identifying resources, and determining appropriate use of Society services/programs. All training will be provided. Time Commitment: At the discretion of the volunteer and while considering site requirements, at least four hours of service per month is suggested, with a maximum of 16 hours per week. An initial term should be three months. Key Responsibilities Serve as client’s ambassador Analyze client assistance requests, complete required verifications, assess budget, and review previous casework history Evaluate whether needs presented can be met within NMCRS relief policies Consult with a mentor to determine whether to assist or recommend other services/referrals Present requests for exceptions to Headquarters Caseworkers, with concurrence of the Director or designee Complete required documentation using NMCRS software programs Attributes Maintain a nonjudgmental demeanor, objectivity, and confidentiality Strong listening and communication skills Operate in a fast-paced environment and prioritize time-sensitive situations Present a professional, friendly, and objective appearance Identify with the NMCRS mission and serve as an NMCRS Ambassador Professional Development Objectives Complete and maintain qualification(s) as assigned in the NMCRS U Field director’s approval based on skill-set demonstration and completion of required observations Remain current on programs, policies and procedures, and attend required training Benefits Making a positive contribution - serving Sailors, Marines, and their families Social networking and teambuilding Skill development: social services, budget counseling, communication, familiarity with military pay system and base resources Review skills to keep resume current
