Join Sno-King Watershed Council, in partnership with the City of Kenmore, for habitat restoration at our 175th St/Swamp Creek SOUTH site on Saturday, October 26 from 11 am - 2 pm! SITE ADDRESS 7913 NE 175th St Kenmore, WA 98028 On 175th near 80th Ave NE, south side of the Burke Gilman Trail, near the 522 Swamp Creek Bridge. ON WHICH SIDE OF THE CREEK WILL WE BE? We will be working the EAST side of the creek this time (the side that is closer to Bothell than to Lake Forest Park). If you don't see us from the road, walk back into the trees. Families and all ages welcome. Volunteers under 18, please contact us for a parental consent form if you have not been before and won't have a grown up in tow. Come when you can and stay as long you are able. WHAT TO BRING * Come dressed in clothes and footwear for the weather, including possible rain and cold or heat and sun, and for getting dirty. * Wear footgear that will keep your feet dry and that you don’t mind getting muddy. * Wool (or thick) socks may help keep your toes warm when it is cold. * Thick pants (denim or similar) in all weather will protect your legs from blackberry thorns. * Sunscreen, hats, and layers are good! Please bring * Water bottle You are welcome to bring * Work gloves if you have them * Your favorite tool (shovel/clippers) if you would like to use it But We will have tools and gloves to share with everyone Please note There is no bathroom on site. The closest is at the Chevron gas station directly across SR 522. The next closest is at the official entrance to ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis Park at 7515 NE 175th Street, Kenmore, WA 98028.
