Description

Child Justice works to protect children in child custody/access or protective order cases after exposure to family violence, physical or sexual abuse, substance misuse or neglect. We predominantly serve families across the State of Maryland and the Washington, DC metropolitan area. However, we have a national footprint, accepting qualified cases outside the DC area on a limited basis. We provide pro bono legal services and resources to support children and their protective parents, sometimes assisted by national law firms and local private practitioners. We promote change by educating judges, creating new case law, and raising awareness of the gaps and failures of society’s protection of our most vulnerable children.
