OUR VISION

Million Solar Stars (MSS) inspires students and educators to scale up solar power at schools around the world. We believe investing in the development of student leadership and STEAM skills is smart, and connecting schools with solar resources is good for education, the environment, and the long-term economics of our learning institutions.

The Solar Star Challenge 2022 marks the sixth year of commitment to engage students to develop clean energy leadership and STEAM skills. To date, positive impact from the Solar Star Challenge has been demonstrated by the following metrics:

  • 500+ Solar Star Pledges Taken
  • 1,000+ Solar Models Designed and Built
  • 620kW+ Solar Power Installed at Schools
  • 500+ Solar Reading Lights Provided
  • 1,500+ Students Raising Awareness and Support for Solar Power
