Mission Statement

Our Mission: To build the capacity of women, elderly, Youths and adolescents to identify, analyze and generate practical solutions to eliminate discrimination and poverty using the Reflection Action processes by 2040. Our Aim: CHM’s long Term Aim is to have a community that is empowered to take lead in their development process, able to demand for their rights and have equal opportunities for growth and development. Our core values; "Non-discrimination, Commitment and integrity, Nonpartisan, Accountability and Transparency, equity and justice, confidentiality, honesty, social accountability, innovation and value for money."

Description

Caring Home Mityana (CHM) a registered Community Based Organization in Mityana District, Uganda under Registration No. BUS/DIV/79/2019 that gave us a mandate to operate in Mityana District with experience of 3 years since 2018 in the field of community development. The organization was formed by concerned community individuals (volunteers) upon realizing the community needs that existed in Mityana district at a time with a vision of empowering the community to fulfill its obligation for growth and development. CHM’s head office is in Kibibi Garage - East ward, Busimbi Division, Mityana municipality- Mityana district.

The organization goal is To eliminate discrimination and Poverty among aged, PWD, Youths, young women and vulnerable children using the Reflection Action Processes for sustainable development and We are focused in the thematic areas of; Education, Health, Community Development, Environment protection and human rights promotion.

Currently, CHM has supported 100 OVC with basic needs, scholastic materials and short term scholarships, 20 elderly and malnourished children with food and Nutrition supplements and also providing small scale farmers with agricultural inputs and training them good agricultural practices.
lastly, CHM has enrolled and supported 45 adolescent girls with vocational skills in our vocational training Centre and also provided with knowledge on sexual reproductive health.
