Mission Statement

Our Mission - A world where all children and young people play together, freely.

Description

Founded in 1979, Challengers is dedicated to breaking down the barriers of play for disabled children and young people. We provide inclusive play and leisure opportunities for disabled children and young people, aged 2-18 at our pre-schools, play schemes and youth schemes all based across the South East. Challengers is a place where all disabled children and young people can have fun, make friends and try activities they have never had the opportunity to before. Play is a crucial part of a child’s development. They develop key social, physical and emotional skills that are vital in later life. Our non-exclusion policy ensures that everyone is included, regardless of the complexity of their care, needs and impairments or their geographical location.
Whilst their child is in our care, parents can feel confident that their son or daughter is happy and safe, and that their needs are well catered for. Our services provide respite for them, and fun for their child. Where other providers of play and leisure say no, Challengers will always say yes.
