Mission Statement
Pasadena Dance Theatre (PDT) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support, foster and advance the art of dance through professional performances and educational programs.
Description
Pasadena Dance Theatre was started in 1965 by Evelyn LeMone as a non-profit dance school for the Pasadena community and beyond. The high caliber classical ballet training enabled many students to go on to professional careers throughout the world. Over the decades, PDT has developed outreach programs to local schools and communities in need making the art of dance available for all. Our annual Nutcracker performance has enchanted audience members for over 20 years including local public school children with either free or low-cost tickets. Additionally, our Boys Scholarship Program has brought the love of dance to a typically underrepresented population in the ballet world by providing free training to boys interested in pursuing dance, Our goals are to increase our student body while continuing to provide excellent training as well as increase our outreach in our community through educational programs and performances. Lastly, fundraising is a significant goal in order to provide more opportunities for students and our community.
