Mission Statement

YCACLatam’s mission is to advocate and educate for fighting climate change in Latin America, empower future environmental leaders, and develop effective and sustainable climate policies. We aspire to empower young people from Latin America to take action against climate change and environmental problems, starting from their own home countries to the rest of the region. We hope to make an impact by informing about Latin America’s environmental condition and creating projects that seek to contribute to a better future.

Description

Youth Climate Action of the Caribbean and Latin America is a youth-led group from across Latin America that aims to promote environmental awareness and sustainability by informing and educating about the region’s environmental condition.

We believe that the urgency for climate action is more important now than ever and that in order to make a change, society must adopt sustainable practices and technologies.

We believe that Earth and our environment are our greatest gifts, therefore making them worthy of respect and care.

We believe that society is sustained by the environment, making it our commitment to protect and conserve it.

We believe that by educating youths about climate change, climate justice, and climate action we are addressing the problem from its core, therefore providing future generations with the tools to tackle today’s environmental issues.
