VECCA was established in 1982 by local artists and citizens interested in promoting the arts in the Shenandoah Valley. In 1984 VECCA received its 501(c)3 status and eventually settled at its current address in downtown Woodstock. VECCA provides gallery space, shows & venues for artists of any medium for all skill level (beginners to professionals). Scholarships are available to graduating seniors in Shenandoah County for Art, Music, and Writing/Journalism. Since its establishment, VECCA has provided workshops, classes, and programs for Seniors and Children and general community. However, these programs were discontinued due to Covid. We can now safely provide those services again through grant funding but unfortunately do not have the needed volunteers to pull them off. If you would like to be a part of an established Non-profit that wants to continue providing our community and beyond with quality education, creativity, skill, therapy, town enhancement, gallery sitting or projects which can be held In-person or virtually, we would love to have you join us on our journey.
