Description
Hope Rising Farm was founded in June of 2017 by owner/executive director Jacqueline Wikane. She wanted to fulfill a life long dream of bringing people with and without disabilities to a social learning environment. Jacqueline is a PATH Intl (Professional Association of Horsemanship International) Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, ESMHL (Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning), EAP (Equine Assisted Pshychotherapy), EAL (Equine Assisted Learning). The facility is open to all abilities for riding, grooming and unmounted lessons. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life and well-being of children and adults of all abilities. We have mounted and unmounted lesson programs, a riding academy in the summer and an unmounted "Stirrups to Success" winter program. We achieved our 501 (c)(3) status in April of 2019. Since opening the doors in 2017, our riding program has grown tremendously, as well as the need for more volunteers.
