Mission Statement
South Mississippi Aids Task Force's mission is to educate the public about the prevention and transmission of HIV/AIDS while providing services to those affected.
Description
The organization encourages the modification of behaviors which place people at increased risk of infection with the AIDS virus. Our goal is to reduce the irrational fear and stigmatiazatin of persons living with AIDS.
We advocate and directly provide necessary services for those affected by the AIDS virus. We also coordinate the efforts of interested organizations to provide AIDS education and services.
SMATF works to provide a forum for the exchange of AIDS information, educational materials, and other resources.
