Filthy Rags Outreach's a gang prevention and intervention nonprofit that was started inside prison by 2 former gang members. As part of our outreach, we produce several podcasts on topics ranging from prison, reentry, personal testimonies, personal transformation, to spiritual topics. About The Position: Title: Podcast Editor Contact Person: Jessica Justice Time Commitment: 2 to 5 hours per week, varies widely Status: Volunteer Overview: This person will be responsible for assisting with editing episodes for Filthy Rags Outreach content, including The Robb Report, Voices in the Wilderness, Kites to the Kingdom, and Therapeutic Straight Talk Behind the Fences. We are currently looking for someone to take raw .wav files then: splice, edit, add phone call, add theme song, ID3 tag, adjust audio with certain audio enhancements, export as .mp3 and upload to server. This person should have at least 100 hours experience with audio editing. Objectives/Duties Edit audio, add clips, splice clips, process with enhancements Upload and download to server Be able to diagnose technical issues Ensure quality of audio Turn around finished product quickly Other tasks as assigned Technical Skills Very good at audio edits, splicing, mixing and enhancements Be very punctual, good time management, able to handle a lot of tasks at once Understand the basics of websites, internet, etc Generally be Tech Savy Personal Traits Creative, curious, high energy Pays attention to details Take a task, figure out how to complete and deliver on time, know when to seek assistance Be proactive, use sound judgment, address things that need attention without direction Punctual

Filthy Rags Outreach is looking for a creative and eager intern to help us enhance our brand and impact while giving the right candidate the ability to build his/her real life marketing skills. We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to join our team. The goal of this program is to help further develop your creative multi-media and social media skills, as well as giving our non-profit the social media boost it needs to gain and engage our followers. As a Social Media Intern, you will be working closely with the Director of Operations who will provide you with real hands-on projects that use social media platforms to promote, manage, and share Filthy Rags Outreach's story. You will use your creative skills to create content and actively engage with and promote our nonprofit both locally and nationally. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Create written, graphic, and video content for company owned Facebook/YouTube/TikTok and other social media profiles Posts featuring customer and staff Posts featuring Chevrolet products / dealer services Posts developing the Columbia CDJR brand Build presence on new and developing social media platforms. Assist in producing stories/creating graphics for social media and website. Help develop strategies for capturing target audience and current follower engagement. Assist with social media analytics and reporting. Other duties as assigned. 4-6 hour weekly commitment, including regular weekly 1 hour staff/volunteer meeting on Mondays (can be flexible) Contact Person: Jessica Justice Qualifications and Education: Advanced knowledge of popular social media platforms from a brand perspective. Filthy Rags Outreach is a BIPOC focused gang prevention and intervention nonprofit that was started by 2 currently incarcerated former gang members that wanted to help give back and change the culture in prison as well as help gang members realize the false realities of that lifestyle. We have created several programs to that affect, and need some administrative assistance to pull it all together. Please check out our website to learn more about who we are and what we do before applying to work with our organization. www.filthyragsoutreach.org We are looking for a highly motivated assistant that can be available to do a wide variety of administrative duties including but not limited to: Formatting Word documents Transcribing meeting notes from audio files Internet research Corresponding between incarcerated individuals and community members Setting up Google Meet virtual meetings Managing appointments for the Dir. of Oper. and Comm. Engagement Dir. Printing and mailing documents to our CEO and Exec. Dir. You will work at the direction of our DOO and sometimes our CED, but will have contact with and work closely with our Founder and Executive Director, both of whom are incarcerated. You will be accessing an organization-owned email app plus an organization owned email inbox (Google product) to correspond. We use a variety of apps and programs to do our work, so you must be able to navigate a computer. You must be able to work on a project with short notice and have a quick turn-around time. Most of our projects are small and can be completed in a couple hours max, but some might be more time-consuming, so we'd like you to be available at least an hour a day. This volunteer position has the potential to become a paid position when we get a physical location and funding to hire staff, so it's a bonus of you live in the Seattle/Tacoma area, but that is not a requirement to volunteer for this position. We are looking for a motivated grant writer to help our small nonprofit seek out and write grants. Duties of the grant writer include researching grant opportunities based on the strategic goals and vision of Filthy Rags Outreach and presenting them to the executive leadership team for approval, and then researching, writing the grant with assistance from our Director of Operations and Community Engagement Director, and submitting the grant . If you have previous experience in grant writing and research, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful volunteer will help Filthy Rags Outreach obtain grant funding so we can continue to build a strong foundation for our nonprofit so we can develop programming that aligns with our strategic vision and goals so that we can help our community.
