The YES! Program’s mission is to provide a positive environment for student athletes by: creating fundamental life experiences and learning opportunities; serving as a primary prevention strategy against substance abuse, gangs and other risk behaviors; building student athletes’ confidence and self-esteem through teamwork and community recognition; and helping student athletes develop effective communication and leadership skills. The YES! Program offers player skills development, summer league play, tournaments, educational clinics, and much, much more.
The YES! Program engages youth ages 8-18 in basketball skills development and sporting
events, and media communications and technology through after-school activities and summer
programs.
In addition, the YES! Program provides students of all backgrounds the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on training in Media technology and television broadcast productions. YES! TV, our youth-driven production team, has produced more than 1500 television broadcasts aired
in New England. YES! media students have taken the leadership role in all aspects of the
production process. The YES! Media Team has produced weekly shows, which airs on CW in Maine and New Hampshire reaching over 400,000 households. Our Media Team
broadcast model is shifting to Live Streaming online events tied to multiple social media
platforms.
