We are needing a volunteer willing to make and deliver meals to hospice patients: - One patient at a time - 2-3 meals once a week - Flexible Schedule - Hospice training provided Hospice is for those facing life-limiting illnesses. CenterCare Hospice provides compassionate care and support for a transition marked by dignity and meaning. When people hear the word "hospice," they often associate it with death. But hospice is really about embracing each day, sharing time with family and loved ones, and easing through a natural stage of life. Volunteers are a big part of providing an extra loving hand to help these families in this difficult time of life.

CenterCare Hospice is looking for a caring volunteer to make 'Tuck-in' Phone calls to caregivers every Thursday or Friday of each week working from the comfort of their own home. What are 'Tuck-in' phone calls? These are calls to touch base with a caregiver or patient to see how they are doing before the coming weekend to anticipate any needs or pain concerns, The volunteer relays these needs or concerns to the Hospice Volunteer Coordinator and records all communication's for each call. Responsibilities: - Initiate phone calls to patients on a weekly basis and establish caring relationships with patients family. - Availability to make phone calls each Thursday or Friday for about 1 Hour each Week - Ability to access a computer and email - Ability to complete a time sheet All volunteers will go through a screening process which includes: Background check, Drug testing, Vaccinations, TB Testing and Hospice Training.

Share your joy of writing and spread smiles to patients on our Hospice services. (This is not a pen-pal service, due to HIPAA) Letters may be mailed or emailed. You may also share a greeting card, a short note, a picture you've drawn, a painting, or anything you feel like sharing. Some things to keep in mind when writing your letter: Letters can be handwritten or typed. * Address your letter "Greetings,". * Focus on the positive * State in your letter that you are writing on behalf of CenterCare Hospice. * No COVID19 or terminal illness talk. * Include photos? Yes! But no photos of people. * No politics or over personal information. * Do write about where you live - your favorite places, the sights, the smells, things you celebrate, your pets, etc * Please sign only your first name to letters. For example: Greetings, On behalf of CenterCare, I wanted to reach out and say hello. I am writing to you from *insert city, state, or country here* . I was born here and am a die hard Rockies baseball fan. One of my favorite memories of going to a game was taking my grandson for the first time and seeing the smile on his face as a fly ball whizzed past us. I am now working from home full-time and this has made my cat very confused. She keeps walking through the house with the feline equivalent of a frown on her face. But then she curls up in my lap as I work and all is right in both of our worlds. Remember, you are part of the CenterCare family and we are here for you.
