Mission Statement
Our mission is to strengthen the communities and empower the residents of Prince George's County. We achieve this by supporting collaborative decision-making, promoting understanding, encouraging the prevention and peaceful resolution of conflict, and the restoration of relationships.
Description
As a division of Community Mediation Maryland, Prince George's Community Collaborative Resolution Center ensures that Prince George’s County residents have free access to high quality mediation services. PGCCRC seeks to make mediation services a first resort for residents in conflict and those simply seeking a safe place to have hard conversations. Mediation is an opportunity to sit down with trained mediators and the other party for the purpose of discussing what brought you to mediation, identify the issues, brainstorm ideas and hopefully work towards solutions that would be agreeable to all. Mediators maintain neutrality, confidentiality, and mediation is completely voluntary. Since 2020, we have provided residents of Prince George's County with numerous free restorative programs such as community mediations, IEPs, education based mediations, and family based mediations. Our vision is to build a more peaceful and resilient Prince George's County.
